Amazon HR Business Partner, People eXperience and Technology (PXT) - HR in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Description

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing expert guidance on all people-related matters. This role requires a seasoned HR professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, driving organizational effectiveness and employee engagement across a complex business environment. The HRBP will partner with leaders to build high-performing teams, shape organizational culture, and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.

Key job responsibilities

Strategic Partnership:

Partner with senior leaders to understand business strategy and translate it into actionable people strategies

Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management

Serve as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations matters, organizational change, and leadership development

Influence and guide leadership decisions on talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness

Talent Management:

Lead talent review processes, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives

Coach managers on performance management, including goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans

Drive strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent

Partner with recruiting teams to build robust talent pipelines and improve hiring outcomes

Employee Relations & Compliance:

Manage complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and recommending appropriate actions

Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies

Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, terminations, and sensitive workplace matters

Identify trends in employee relations data and recommend proactive solutions

Organizational Development:

Lead organizational design initiatives, including restructures, role clarifications, and team optimization

Facilitate change management efforts and help leaders navigate organizational transitions

Design and implement programs that enhance employee engagement and organizational culture

Analyze organizational health metrics and develop action plans to address gaps

HR Program Implementation:

Drive adoption of HR programs, policies, and initiatives within assigned business areas

Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development) to deliver integrated HR solutions

Lead or participate in cross-functional HR projects and initiatives

Continuously improve HR processes and tools to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field

  • Knowledge of local labor law

  • Experience as a human resource generalist

  • Experience with specific knowledge of human resource theory, functions and practice, performance appraisal systems and staff development

  • Experience supporting hourly employee client group

  • Experience with MS Office tools and HR Information Systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management

  • Experience assessing management and executive talent

  • Experience developing and administering HR compensation plans

  • Experience in human resources with companies supporting 250-500 or more associates
