General Motors Supplier Quality & Development Manager - São Caetano do Sul/SP in Sao Caetano do Sul, Brazil
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven leader to join our Supplier Quality & Development organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring world-class supplier performance, driving continuous improvement, and strengthening our supply base to support GM’s business and product excellence.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, solid automotive industry experience, and a passion for developing people and fostering innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, influence, and develop cross-functional and supplier-facing teams to achieve quality, delivery, and performance targets.
Drive supplier development initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and risk mitigation actions across the supply base.
Act as a role model for GM’s values, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Serve as an innovation ambassador, encouraging new ideas, digital solutions, and best practices within the organization and with suppliers.
Support strategic sourcing and program execution through strong technical, quality, and business alignment.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure sustainable results.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (post-graduate degree is desirable).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry or related sectors.
Proven experience in leading people and influencing teams, including indirect leadership.
Fluent in English ; Spanish is a plus .
Solid understanding of supplier quality, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience or strong knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, or advanced data-driven tools to support decision-making, performance monitoring, and process optimization.

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}.
The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role.
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
