Description
We are looking for a dedicated Event Coordinator to join our team in Santa Monica, California. In this project based contract role, you will play a key part in planning and executing successful events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly from start to finish. Responsibilities:
• Lead the setup and execution of events, ensuring all elements are in place and functioning as planned.
• Oversee and manage event staff, providing direction and support throughout the event.
• Assist with pre-event planning, including confirming staff schedules and coordinating logistics.
• Supervise event operations, including welcoming guests, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a seamless experience.
• Handle post-event tasks such as cleanup, packing, and coordinating the return of materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with account managers to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
• Provide support for various on-site activities, including meet-and-greet duties and guest assistance.
• Maintain organization and attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly.
• Ensure all event logistics align with company standards and client requirements.
• Lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed during event preparations.
Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in event coordination or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage experiential events and oversee on-site event staff.
• Strong organizational skills and a personable demeanor to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Experience with event logistics, including setup, cleanup, and material handling.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing between 25-50 pounds.
• Familiarity with corporate and experiential event environments.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, staff, and vendors.
