provide evidence-based care in an academic ED setting to multiple patients of
all ages with complex medical conditions.
The Emergency Trauma Techs perform basic patient care skills,
follow infection control practices, assist in set up of equipment for
procedures, provide direct patient care in trauma/ emergency situations, and
have knowledge and direct experience with orthopedic injuries and splint
placement. The emergency trauma tech assists nurses in transporting patients,
assisting patients with ADL, collecting specimens, performing EKGs and finger
stick blood sugar checks. Join our team today!
Salary: $25.53 - $29.31 Hourly
Qualifications
We're seeking a highly-skilled,
self-motivated healthcare professional with:
Prior ED Tech or EMT experience - highly desired
BLS (American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross) - Required
Knowledge of suturing and suture removal, dressing application, and splinting
Skill in CPR and EKG's
Skill in preparing wounds for treatment, set up and assisting with special procedures such as incision and drainage of infected areas
Ability to assist nursing staff with routine patient care
Ability to perform as a team member and provide professional staff support to physicians and nurses
Ability to function effectively with patients
Ability to lift, push, pull
