Amergis LPN School Nurses in Santa Maria, California
Amergis Staffing is currently seeking LPN School Nurses for the 2025/2026 school year in the Santa Maria, CA area.
The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Position Details:
Pay: $1450 Weekly (Travel candidates for 50+ miles)
Local Pay: $1137.50 Weekly
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:15am-3:15pm
Hours/Week: 32.5 Hours Weekly
Start Date: March 2026
Length: 2025/2026 School Year
Details: Under the supervision of an Assistant Principal, provide basic medical services for students and staff at an assigned high school, document illnesses and incidents: process incoming freshman and new enrollees with specialized health needs. Respond to emergencies and treat accordingly, coordinating with EMS system.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited registered, practical or vocational nursing program
Licensed as a Licensed Practical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
One year of professional experience, preferred
Current CPR
PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
