Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to support our Power & Controls Operations ECS organization. This position will sit at our Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation assistance is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What You Will Do:
Manage medium to large programs, budgets and schedules maintain and present project health
Develop project plans, schedules and budgets for projects and suggest appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to established project plan, schedule and budget.
Identify and react to project problems and recommend solutions, such as reallocating resources.
Prepare and implement work-around plans to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Conduct meetings and present progress relating to engineering and financial aspects of the project
Liaise between operations and customer
Manage and coordinate hardware and software development configurations throughout the engineering process
Direct the work of employees assigned to the IPT
Coordinate efforts that can include engineering changes to address SRIs.
Work closely with a multifunctional team to meet defined requirements, mitigate risks, and ensure milestones are achieved.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience leading and managing multifunction Engineering projects
Budgets and schedules management and project health monitoring
Develop project plans, schedules and budgets for projects and suggest appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to established project plan, schedule and budget.
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
Qualifications We Prefer:
Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering
Experience managing new products Introduction
Operations experience
Aerospace or defense project engineering
Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, align members with project goals, and drive progress toward milestones.
Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including through written reports and verbal presentations. Proven ability to convey project status, risks, and solutions to senior leadership and customers.
Experience creating clear, concise, and well-structured technical documents, reports, and proposals, including requirements, design details, and testing procedures.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project), with the ability to create detailed reports, presentations, schedules, and project tracking documents.
Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) or in a similar role managing project budgets, earned value management (EVM), and reporting financial performance in alignment with program goals.
Agile certification: Scrum Master preferred
Team Center, ALM Polarium or equivalent
Hardware and Software product experience
