Job Title: R&D Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking R&D Assemblers to join our new pilot line. This role requires individuals with assembly experience who are comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods. You will work on the emitters, which are the smallest parts of the catheter, and collaborate closely with engineers and technicians.
Logistics
Day shift - 6am-2:30pm (May have to do OT)
Pay - Up to $24.50 based on experience
Responsibilities
Work on assembly of electrical emitters inside balloon-delivered catheters, focusing on tasks such as length cutting, sealing, crimping, and folding.
Set up workstations with necessary materials, tools, and instructions for line clearance.
Build subassemblies and final assemblies based on provided instructions and document all work details.
Assist in the development of next-generation products.
Perform tasks across three product lines: C2 (Coronary - 2 emitters), S4 (Leg - 4 emitters), and M5 (Thigh - 5 emitters).
Use tools such as tweezers, snap gauges, pliers, and cutters to install wires and marker bands.
Manually crimp shafts and wires, cut wires to length, and crimp inner sleeves.
Place emitters accurately for radiofrequency wave transmission, applying UV light and adhesive.
Conduct visual inspections and power tests using a micrometer.
Operate welding machines to bond balloons to shafts and perform leak tests.
Conduct heat sealing and connector assembly tasks.
Essential Skills
Experience with medical device assembly, especially with balloon catheters.
Proficiency in using microscopes for detailed assembly work.
Experience with catheter assembly and related processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with UV curing, hotbox, and true medical device class 3 processes.
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with precision and attention to detail.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.50/hr.
