Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads a high-performing team dedicated to advancing plant operations through the development and implementation of innovative production and manufacturing processes. This role oversees maintenance, engineering support, safety, regulatory compliance, distribution, and warehousing to ensure efficient and reliable operations. The manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing resources, and maintaining a strong focus on quality and productivity.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, and develop teams to achieve business objectives and support daily plant operations.
Coordinate tool design, assembly, manufacturing processes, cost estimation, systems planning, facility layout, standards, and release procedures.
Lead capital projects aimed at process enhancement and improved customer satisfaction, including conducting research and securing necessary approvals.
Manage the installation of new machinery, equipment, and process changes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing or assembly of components.
Implement and promote Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies for enhanced quality and productivity.
Analyze data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
Direct cross-functional teams in developing and deploying automated solutions to increase manufacturing efficiency.
Maintain familiarity with data collection and analysis systems for monitoring and improving process performance.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive engagement and deliver training related to new automation initiatives.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, or related field).

Skills:
Capacity Planning & Management: Demonstrates knowledge of capacity measurements, tools, constraints, and seasonal trends. Understands the roles and responsibilities of capacity planners and utilizes internal/external resources for effective planning.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Applies structured techniques to critical thinking and decision-making. Organizes relevant data, documents processes, clarifies concerns, and assists in risk assessment and evaluation of alternatives.
Lean Manufacturing: Designs effective work cells, identifies technical and personnel challenges, implements lean methodologies, and monitors effectiveness through benchmarks and metrics.
Manufacturing Application Systems: Uses, maintains, and documents manufacturing application systems. Reports anomalies, follow maintenance procedures, and leverages system features for operational excellence.
Manufacturing Equipment: Understands roles of equipment vendors and staff, accesses equipment-specific information, and manages routine and preventive maintenance across diverse types of manufacturing equipment.
Manufacturing Processes: Assesses and documents phases, activities, standards, and practices. Integrates new technologies and utilizes process monitoring and control tools.
Performance Management: Demonstrates knowledge of performance management concepts, participates in reviews, and understands organizational performance factors and ratings.
Problem Solving: Identifies and documents problems and resolution alternatives, analyzes stakeholder perspectives, develops diagnostic techniques, and supports risk-benefit analysis for solution determination.
Additional Information:
Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon.
This position is six-days a week in-office model. (6:24 am to 5:00 pm)
This position will require travelling up to 10% of working time (Domestic and International).
