Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads the engineering function to ensure efficient, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes. This role oversees plant layouts, equipment installations, and process improvements, providing strategic direction and technical expertise to support production goals and operational excellence.

What will you do:

  • Build and maintain a high-performing engineering team that supports manufacturing operations and achieves organizational objectives.

  • Lead initiatives in assembly and manufacturing process design, cost estimation, systems planning, layout optimization, tooling, and equipment standards.

  • Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods, systems, and infrastructure to meet production targets.

  • Ensure facilities, equipment, and processes align with authorized product programs and capacity plans.

  • Digitalization & Industry

  • Coordinate, lead, and implement digitalization and automation initiatives across manufacturing operations to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.

  • Define and execute Industry 4.0 roadmaps aligned with business strategy, focusing on smart manufacturing, connected systems, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Lead cross-functional projects for the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies such as MES, IoT, robotics, automation systems, and digital work instructions.

  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Continuous Improvement teams to ensure successful deployment and sustainability of digital solutions.

  • Promote a culture of digital transformation and continuous innovation within manufacturing engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

  • Advanced English

  • Knowledge in machining and welding processes

  • Digital & Automation Qualifications

  • Expert leading manufacturing digitalization and automation projects.

  • Solid understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, smart factories, advanced manufacturing systems and power bi tools.

  • Oversees equipment selection, integration, and performance monitoring.

  • Plans and implements infrastructure upgrades and machine relocations.

  • Ensures workforce is trained in safe and effective equipment operation.

Manufacturing Processes:

  • Leads global process standardization and innovation initiatives.

  • Establishes best practices and policies for manufacturing operations.

  • Champions emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency.

Manufacturing Safety:

  • Interprets and applies safety regulations across the organization.

  • Leads safety performance monitoring and compliance with OSHA standards.

  • Designs and deploys comprehensive safety programs and policies.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures & Policies:

  • Defines and enforces manufacturing standards and technical architecture.

  • Anticipates industry trends and prepares the organization for change.

  • Advises on global manufacturing principles and infrastructure strategy.

Digitalization, Automation & Industry

  • Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 frameworks, digital manufacturing architectures, and smart factory concepts.

  • Ability to evaluate and deploy emerging technologies to enhance manufacturing performance.

  • Expert with manufacturing automation, robotics, PLC-based systems, and industrial control architectures.

  • Knowledge of MES, data acquisition systems, and digital production monitoring.

  • Ability to leverage manufacturing data, KPIs, and analytics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Promotes data-driven decision-making within engineering and operations teams.

  • Leads organizational change associated with digital transformation initiatives.

  • Encourages adoption of new technologies and continuous learning within teams.

Top Candidates also have

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or related fields.

  • Six Sigma (Black Belt)

  • Training or certification in Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, Automation, or Smart Factory technologies.

  • Expert working in digitally mature manufacturing environments or leading digital transformation programs.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon.

  • This position is five-day a week in-office model.
