Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Santa Barbara, California

Description We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will provide critical administrative support to the HR department and executive team, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in staffing, recruiting, and HR administration while working in a collaborative, on-site environment.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain digital records for efficient filing and retrieval.

• Assist the executive team and HR group with administrative tasks to streamline processes.

• Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.

• Support HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, and background checks.

• Utilize HR information systems (HRIS) to manage employee data and ensure accuracy.

• Perform general office duties, including managing correspondence and scheduling.

• Use Microsoft Outlook for communication, scheduling, and task management.

• Help ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees and candidates.

• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the HR team through proactive support. Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar administrative or HR role.

• Familiarity with HR administration processes, including onboarding and employee relations.

• Experience using HRIS platforms to manage employee data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and communication.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities.

• Comfortable interacting with people and providing excellent service.
