Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
We are seeking three Manufacturing Technicians to join a growing Military manufacturer in Santa Ana, CA. Pay will be $22-$24 an hour and based on experience. This role involves working a 4/10 schedule on the 1st shift from 5 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with openness to work on Fridays if necessary.
Ideally looking for candidates with automotive experience since this position will be working with large part assembly on F-150 trucks. There is potential to cross-train in different areas involving mechanical, electrical assembly, and testing. This team is expanding and needing to keep up with production.
Responsibilities
Assemble and wire various electro-mechanical units.
Utilize small hand tools such as screwdrivers, tweezers, and pliers for box builds, cable/wire assemblies, and PCB assemblies.
Follow bill-of-materials (BOM) and assembly drawings for accurate completion of tasks.
Conduct continuity checks on both work in process and completed work.
Create and maintain machine programs and profiles for new and existing products.
Aid in maintaining product routings, drawing packets, and interpreting instructions/specifications for manufacturing operators.
Troubleshoot operator problems and collaborate with leadership on training and process improvements.
Communicate problems to Engineers and/or leaders.
Assist in testing and qualifying new equipment, materials, and processes.
Perform experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
Recommend additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for product debug areas.
Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
Comply with all company security policies and procedures.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Work on problems of moderate scope, requiring analysis of various factors and exercising judgment within defined procedures.
Develop professional expertise and apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
Receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Essential Skills
Experience with electronics or automotive/mechanics is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude, familiar with hand and power tools.
Experience in assembly, inspection, and machine operation.
Ability to read and work from schematics, assembly drawings, and blueprints.
Demonstrate strong mechanical skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Potential to grow into a leadership role.
Experience with automated computer systems and PFS preferred.
Ability to read and understand process instructions, schematic drawings, and manufacturing routings.
Capability to use various tools such as drivers, wrenches, and wire cutters.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SANTA ANA, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
