Mechanical Assembler - Military and Defense
We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers for a military and defense facility located in Santa Ana, CA. This role involves working the 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11pm. Candidates must possess an active security clearance and wear steel or composite toe shoes/boots. This position offers competitive hourly pay based on experience, with overtime opportunities available during the week and on Saturdays. The work is repetitive, with a goal of producing 5000 units monthly, providing a high-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing setting, preferably in aerospace, electronics, or medical industries.
Use common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, and specialized test equipment.
Proficiently use a computer for standard browser and word processing applications.
Possess working knowledge of common electrical components.
Read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions.
Adapt to rapidly changing roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging environment.
Communicate effectively with engineering and production teams.
Possibility for overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in mechanical assemblies and use of hand and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Must have an active security clearance.
Proficiency in computer use and software applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in high-quality wire harness assembly, test racks, junction boxes, and hand soldering.
Validation and testing of electronic components using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
Knowledge of air-frame construction techniques such as rivets, mechanical fasteners, and nut plates.
Experience in electronic box assembly troubleshooting and writing detailed issue tickets for failures.
Running functional checkouts and tests, diagnosing issues, and testing RF systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
