Aerotek Machine Operator in Santa Ana, California
Machine Operator
Day shift (6am-2:30pm) machine operator needed for wire excursion shop in Santa Ana. Pay will be based on experience but typically $20-$22 an hour (can be higher with experience) with overtime available as well. Open to entry level candidates that are open to train and grow with the company.
What You’ll Do
Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment based on work orders, drawings, and specifications
Perform line clearance to ensure a clean start for every job
Verify materials and part numbers before running production
Complete accurate documentation: setup sheets, inspection records, material verification forms, and production reports
Update and sign off on setup sheets when changes occur
Report daily production quantities and hours worked
Wrap, label, and return unused materials to inventory
Ensure all reels, bags, and packages are properly labeled
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures and report any issues
What You Bring
Experience operating manufacturing or industrial equipment is a plus
Ability to read work orders, drawings, and specifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Bonus Skills
Experience with extrusion, wire, or mechanical equipment
Ability to use hand tools and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Blueprint reading and basic math skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
