About being our Assistant Project Manager - CEQA/NEPAA
As an
Assistant Project Manager - Environmental Services (CEQA/NEPA),you will play a key supporting role in delivering high-quality environmental compliance services for land development, infrastructure, and utility clients. Working closely with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, you will further expand your hands-on experience preparing CEQA/NEPA documents, managing technical studies, and contributing to client communications.
This role is ideal for an environmental professional with 2-7 years of experience, a strong technical foundation, and a desire to grow into a leadership role. You will have opportunities to expand your project management skills, build client relationships, and take on increasing responsibility over time.
Responsibility Highlights for our Assistant Project Manager - CEQA/NEPA:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing CEQA/NEPA documents for small to mid-size projects under the guidance of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers. Prepare sections of CEQA/NEPA document for large-size projects
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal project teams to ensure work products meet technical and schedule requirements
- Coordinate and collaborate with external project team members (i.e., subconsultants)
- Support client communications and attend project meetings, gaining exposure to client-facing responsibilities
- Contribute to proposal preparation, scopes of work, and budgets as directed, learning key aspects of project management
- Participate in technical studies, research, and environmental analyses across a range of disciplines
- Seek opportunities for professional growth, skill development, and increased leadership responsibility in a team-oriented environment
Growth Opportunities:
- Mentorship from experienced Project Managers to develop project leadership skills
- Exposure to mid-size and larger projects, preparing you for eventual full Project Manager responsibilities
- Opportunity to expand technical expertise in specialized areas (e.g., wildfire, transportation, utilities, air quality/GHG, noise/vibration, cultural or historic resources, State Environmental Policy Act [SEPA])

Minimum Qualifications to be our Assistant Project Manager - CEQA/NEPA:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, planning/policy, land development, or a related field
- 2-7 years of experience in CEQA/NEPA document preparation with strong attention to detail and technical competency
- Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated interest in developing project management capabilities and client-facing experience

- A competitive salary! The expected range for this position is $90,000 - 115,000/salary depending on experience
- Compensation may be adjusted for well-qualified candidates
