Boehringer Ingelheim DevOps Engineer in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain
We are looking for an experienced, self-driven, and team-oriented DevOps Engineer to strengthen our internal AI foundation platforms. Our internal platforms facilitate the development of LLM- and Agentic AI applications. You will work as a member of the development team to further expand our internal platforms.
Tasks and responsibilities
In your new role, you will be the DevOps Engineer of Boehringer Ingelheim’s AI foundation platforms. You will design, build and support highly available tools and services used by data scientists and software engineers across the company.
In addition to that, you will closely collaborate with the other architecture and engineering team members, both locally and globally.
You will support different product lines, such as the enterprise LLM API, a low-code/no-code agent development platform or an end-to-end MLOps platform.
Moreover, you will monitor and fix platform availability and performance issues as well as implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to maximize platform availability during planned or unplanned outages.
*Requirements *
Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or in a comparable scientific course of studies or bachelor's degree with practical working experience.
Several years of professional experience in an international IT environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes (OpenShift), and DevOps tools like Helm, Jenkins, Git.
Prior experience working with cloud providers like Azure and AWS, including infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
Professional coding experience in Python.
Experience in setting up application monitoring with protocols/frameworks like Opentelemetry, Prometheus or Dynatrace.
Experience in a corporate IT setting (e.g. enterprise dev-ops, change management) is beneficial.
Experience in the wider AI ecosystem (e.g., Huggingface, LiteLLM, Databricks, Qdrant or other vector databases) is beneficial.
Working experience in pharmaceuticals or similar industries is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (oral and written); German is a plus.
