Description
The Framer is responsible for performing skilled construction work with an emphasis on structural framing and jobsite integration of other trades, particularly electrical. This position requires proficiency in framing techniques and working knowledge of residential electrical systems, allowing the employee to coordinate trades and execute complex jobsite installations with minimal oversight. The individual will interpret building plans and support the project supervisor in maintaining schedule, code compliance, and safety standards. Detailed duties include as follow: Build, install, and repair wood-framed structural systems (walls, floors, ceilings, roofs) for new residential and light commercial buildings
Coordinate layout and positioning of electrical rough-ins (e.g., boxes, conduit paths) within framed structures Read and interpret construction blueprints, including architectural and basic MEP drawings Operate hand and power tools safely; ensure accurate and code-compliant installations Assist electricians or perform limited pre-wiring tasks such as routing wire paths, mounting boxes, and marking panel locations Maintain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work areas Work independently or as part of a small crew across multiple unanticipated job sites within Wake County Coordinate framing work with electrical and other trades to ensure code compliance.
