Description
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Sanford, Florida. As part of the textile manufacturing industry, this role is integral to managing procurement activities and ensuring timely communication between vendors and internal departments. This is a contract to permanent position, providing an excellent opportunity for growth with a focus on attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Track pricing and purchase orders using Excel with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Foster effective communication with international vendors to ensure timely delivery and address any concerns.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers, ensuring competitive rates while monitoring quoted versus actual costs.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, creative, accounting, and ownership, to streamline order workflows.
• Relay detailed order specifications to designated manufacturing facilities to ensure production accuracy.
• Monitor and track the status of orders, proactively addressing delays and providing updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation of all purchasing data for transparency and reporting purposes.
Requirements
• Proven experience in purchasing activities within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong skills in managing purchase orders and vendor communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced tracking and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve cost-efficient outcomes.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable working independently while maintaining collaboration across teams.
• Familiarity with international vendor processes and requirements.
