Full job description

About RestorePro:

RestorePro Disaster Cleanup and Restoration is a trusted leader in the restoration industry, serving homes and businesses impacted by water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. We are committed to fast, compassionate, and professional service---restoring not just properties, but peace of mind. At RestorePro, we don't just clean up---we rebuild lives.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Lead Restoration Technician who can confidently take the reins on restoration projects and help drive our commitment to excellence. As a key team leader, you'll manage field operations on water mitigation, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and other restoration tasks. You'll be responsible for leading a crew, coordinating workflow, and ensuring projects are completed on time, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.

This is an excellent opportunity for a restoration professional who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to grow into a leadership role with a company that values integrity, teamwork, and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage on-site restoration efforts including water damage mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and structural drying.
  • Supervise and support field technicians---delegating tasks, providing training, and ensuring quality workmanship across all jobs.
  • Conduct initial site assessments, document damages, and formulate clear and efficient mitigation and restoration plans.
  • Coordinate daily job site operations including equipment setup, moisture readings, containment setup, demolition, and job progress tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with IICRC and company safety protocols at all times.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with property owners, insurance adjusters, property managers, and internal staff throughout the lifecycle of each project.
  • Complete and submit all necessary job documentation---photos, moisture logs, notes, and job summaries---in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean and working condition.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or recommending additional services to improve customer outcomes.
  • Assist with job estimates and collaborate with office staff on job scope and invoicing accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in property restoration, disaster recovery, or construction-related field (required).
  • Prior supervisory or lead technician experience (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of water mitigation, mold remediation, and fire/smoke cleanup procedures and equipment.
  • IICRC certifications in Water Restoration (WRT), Fire and Smoke Restoration (FSRT), and Applied Microbial Remediation (AMRT) are a plus---but we're willing to invest in the right candidate.
  • Excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Tech-savvy---comfortable using mobile apps and job tracking tools.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in confined or challenging environments (e.g., crawl spaces, attics, basements).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
