IBM Change Manager – Software Implementations in Sandton, South Africa

Introduction

The Change Manager will lead and coordinate change management activities for a software implementation project. This role is responsible for ensuring that impacted stakeholders, business units and end users successfully adopt new systems, processes and new ways of working. The ideal candidate has hands on experience managing change for new software rollouts.

Your role and responsibilities

'- Develop and execute a change management strategy and plan for the software implementation.

  • Conduct change impact assessments to identify affected groups, processes and roles.

  • Prepare and deliver communication plans, stakeholder engagement activities and readiness activities.

  • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams and business leaders to integrate change management with project activities.

  • Develop training plans and support training delivery to ensure user readiness and capability.

  • Monitor adoption progress, track issues and risks and recommend actions to improve user acceptance.

  • Support change-related governance, reporting and documentation.

  • Facilitate workshops, briefings and stakeholder sessions to align understanding and expectations.

  • Perform stakeholder analysis and continuous monitoring by identifying, assessing, and actively managing stakeholder engagement, sentiment, and risks to ensure alignment, minimise resistance and enable successful change adoption.

Required technical and professional expertise

'- Demonstrated experience in change management for new software implementations.

  • Strong understanding of organisational change principles and user adoption approaches.

  • Skilled in stakeholder management, communication and facilitation.

  • Ability to work with both technical and non technical teams.

  • Ability to work in complex, multi stakeholder environments.

Preferred technical and professional experience

'- Experience using change management tools and methodologies (for example, ADKAR or similar).
