TRIDENT SEAFOODS CORPORATION STORE CLERK in Sand Point, Alaska
Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)
- Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
- Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received.
- Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise, referring to price list.
- Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
- Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
- Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles.
- Itemizes and totals customer merchandise selection at checkout counter and accepts cash or charge card for purchases, gives accurate change.
- Packs customer purchases in bags or cartons.
- Maintains accurate cash balance in till, may count and reconcile till as requested.

Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)
- Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write and speak basic English. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to accurately conduct cash transactions using American money.
Work environment (includes travel/on-call):
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or up to 40 pounds
