TRIDENT SEAFOODS CORPORATION PRODUCTION KEY II in Sand Point, Alaska
Summary:
This position is a skilled Production Seafood Processor across two or more lines of production.
Note: Production Key II residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists lead in preforming essential functions of two or more lines of production.
- May assist with on-the-line training of new hire processors.
- Clean, sort, and prepare various types of seafood for processing, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Remove shells, scales, bones, and other unwanted parts from seafood products using specialized tools and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including equipment, processing tools, and storage areas.
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and maintain product freshness.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, working in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and industry standards to ensure the production of safe and high-quality seafood products.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of Tridents Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in food processing, seafood processing, or a related field.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle and process seafood efficiently.
- Basic math skills to accurately weigh and measure seafood products.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Strong hygiene practices and knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- May preform task such as forklift driver, crane operator, fish grader, driver, scanner, truck driver.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
