TRIDENT SEAFOODS CORPORATION HOUSEKEEPING RESIDENT SERVICES SUPPORT in Sand Point, Alaska

Summary:

The Housekeeping Resident Service Support position assists with the day-to-day operations of housekeeping and laundry service at Trident facilities.

Note: Housekeeping Resident Services Supportresiding in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

  • Responsible for basic housekeeping duties such as cleaning and stocking bathrooms and other common areas.
  • Assists in laundering employee clothing and work attire.
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs.
  • Cleans storage rooms, bathrooms, offices, corridors, lounging areas, and stairways.
  • Empties and cleans wastebins, outdoor ashtrays and transports trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Cleans dryer lint traps after each load of laundry.
  • Sweeps and mops floors.
  • Waxes and polishes floors as needed.
  • Notifies leads and Keys of equipment malfunctions.
  • Assists in preparing housing facilities and rooms prior to crew arrival.
  • Assist in inspection and cleaning bunkhouse rooms.
  • May assist in assignment of rooms for arriving crews.
  • Acquire knowledge of Tridents Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notify designated personnel of any environmental and safety incidents, or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and or Safety training.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months ofhousekeeping experience or customer service experience.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations and proper use of cleaning agents
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work extended periods
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferredexperience

  • Bilingual preferred

Additional eligibility requirements (language skills, training, certifications, DL, licensing):

  • Ability to write and speak simple sentences in English.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Work environment (includes travel/on-call):

The work environment of a housekeeping staff is variable. You will work in Trident facilities, such as the bunkhouse, office, breakrooms, and other designated buildings as directed. Housekeepers work full time

typically 12 hours per day, and seven (7) days per week,

working weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. This job works a rotational schedule and requires travel to Trident facilities.

Physical demands:

The role of a housekeeping/resident support staff often involves long hours, and physically demanding tasks. You should have the stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, carry heavy objects and supplies, such as furniture, cleaning equipment, and supplies, as needed for maintenance and housekeeping duties.
