GE Aerospace Human Resources Business Partner, Digital Technology - Shared Technology Services and Propulsion & Additive Technology in San Ramon, California

Job Description Summary

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will support two critical Digital Technology (DT) client groups: The Shared Technology Services (STS) CTO and The Propulsion & Additive Technology (P&AT) CIO. You will anticipate the needs of these two sub-organizations in the global Digital Technology (IT) team across the globe at GE Aerospace. You’ll drive innovative people solutions that challenge and inspire our people to thrive in fulfilling GE Aerospace’s mission. This role combines classic HRBP work for infrastructure- and engineering-focused DT teams with partnership on DT-wide transformation efforts and new ways of working. You will operate as a senior individual contributor in a global, matrixed environment, grounded in a world-class HRBP approach and our FLIGHT DECK lean operating system.

This role operates in a remote or hybrid, global, and highly collaborative environment. You will balance virtual engagement with periodic in-person interactions at GE Aerospace locations to build relationships, support key leadership forums, and anchor major technology and transformation change efforts.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the STS CTO and P&AT CIO, participating in leadership discussions and connecting strategy to a clear people and organization agenda.

  • Support Shared Technology Services (infrastructure, platforms, core services) by aligning workforce, skills, and operating model with reliability, security, and cost-efficiency objectives.

  • Partner with P&AT Digital Technology to ensure DT capabilities effectively enable propulsion and additive engineering, product development, and technology roadmaps.

  • Enable transformation initiatives including org design, capability modeling, and dynamic workforce planning programs (e.g., ways of working, modernization, simplification) at the right altitude and with the right talent and change management.

  • Bring an external lens on infrastructure, platform, engineering, and transformation talent markets and workforce trends to inform decisions.

  • Build and sustain strong talent pipelines for critical STS and P&AT DT roles through succession plans, talent reviews, and targeted development.

  • Partner on strategic workforce planning for shared technology, business-aligned DT, and technology teams, including skills, location strategy, and workforce mix.

  • Coach senior and people leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, build high-performing teams, and role-model our values and lean/FLIGHT DECK behaviors.

  • Work with Talent and Learning to shape development pathways for infrastructure/platform engineers, DT product and program leaders, and transformation/change talent.

  • Support organization design and optimization to align structures with evolving technology platforms, shared services models, and P&AT digital priorities.

  • Lead and support change initiatives (e.g., platform consolidation, cloud/infrastructure modernization, tooling change, new operating rhythms) with thoughtful change management and communication.

  • Champion FLIGHT DECK methodologies within STS and P&AT DT, integrating lean practices into leadership routines and HR work to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

  • Contribute to a culture of simplification and continuous improvement, helping leaders and teams find and remove inefficiencies in how work gets done.

  • Shape a compelling employee experience for infrastructure, platform, engineering DT, and transformation professionals, balancing meaningful work, growth, and flexibility.

  • Foster a healthy, inclusive culture where expectations are clear, feedback is candid, and leaders are accountable for how work gets done—not just what gets done.

  • Facilitate effective communication across these teams, helping employees understand priorities, changes, and how their work connects to GE Aerospace’s mission.

  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, Total Rewards, HR Operations, etc.) to deliver fit-for-purpose HR solutions.

  • Guide leaders on employee relations matters with sound judgment, ensuring fair and equitable treatment, compliance, and protection of confidentiality and trust.
