Eaton Corporation Global Category Manager in SAN PEDRO GARZA GARCA, Mexico
Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Global Category Manager.
Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
What you’ll do:
Job Summary
The Global Category Manager – Springs and Cold Forming is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for springs, cold‑formed components supporting Eaton Mobility programs. The role ensures continuity of supply, cost competitiveness, quality performance, and compliance with Eaton procurement policies while supporting both OEM and aftermarket business requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Own global category strategies for springs, cold‑formed components
Lead supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting in alignment with Eaton sourcing policies.
Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and risk metrics.
Ensure continuity of supply for Mobility manufacturing plants and aftermarket demand.
The metrics to manage and deliver are Cost-out, Resiliency, Working Capital Improvement, and SPIRs
Tariff Managment
Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and finance teams on sourcing decisions.
Support customer requirements related to regional content, compliance, and localization strategies.
Manage supplier risks, capacity planning, and escalation in case of supply disruptions.
Support ECJV spend and aftermarket sourcing needs in addition to core Mobility programs.

Qualifications:
Education level required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
Years and area of experience required
7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
Experience with automotive or industrial manufacturing supply chains preferred.
Technical knowledge
Global sourcing and category management methodologies
RFQ and contract negotiation
Cost breakdown and productivity analysis
Supplier quality and risk management
Understanding of mechanical components (springs, cold forming, forgings)
