BeOne Medicines Regional Business Manager, Southeast in San Mateo, California

General Description:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the BeOne Regional Business Manager will partner with the Regional Leadership Team to help the region realize its vision and attain / exceed its sales goals. The Regional Business Manager will accomplish this by critically analyzing market dynamics, identifying trends in the regional marketplace, creating action plans to pull through business opportunities, collaborating with CLD to pull through local training initiatives, ensuring that the regional team fully maximizes/leverages resources, and expanding their leadership skillset in an effort to advance to a leadership position within BeOne.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Analyze business analytics and conduct deep dives to understand opportunities and challenges in order to facilitate creation of actionable plans within the region. Provide weekly business analytics using Navigator and Guru to engage the Region LT in thoughtful performance discussions

  • Coordinate and lead execution of regional SBRs

  • Collaborate with CLD to develop local level trainings for the region

  • Proactively engage with CET regional leadership and RMs to identify strategic opportunities for peer-to-peer education and communicate updates/recommendations with leadership team bi-weekly

  • Review resource utilization (programs, samples, vouchers, corporate site visits) and create a plan to ensure appropriate usage and optimization designed to drive new business

  • Be a thought partner to the regional leadership team to enhance the region’s culture

  • Lead special projects and initiatives that expand the RBM’s sphere of influence including cross-functional work across sales teams/partner teams that requires organizational alignment

  • At the RSDs direction, engage with AMs to assist in building clinical and business acumen

  • Create a development plan and proactively work to expand leadership skill set

  • Function as a proactive thought-partner to RSD to offer new ideas, solutions, tactics

Required Experience:

  • The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales with significant hematology experience and a proven track record of success; experience in other functions is preferable, but not required

  • Interest and demonstrated capabilities to succeed in a front-line leadership role is required

  • A deep understanding of oncology market dynamics: reimbursement, managed care processes, hospital markets, distribution, various sites of care, etc.

  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs) and interpret both and large / small data

  • Deep knowledge of business planning tools – Navigator, Explorer, trend reports

  • Ability to be flexible, manage competing priorities, and be adept in task management

  • Must demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges.

  • Able to successfully collaborate with multiple cross functional partners

  • Must have a self-starting, self-managing independent work style

  • Adept in cultivating trusted relationships

  • Estimated travel is 30%

  • Should be a proactive seeker of feedback and be comfortable sharing feedback to others

  • Openness to relocation for future leadership roles will be considered in the selection process

Education & Experience Required:

  • This position requires a B.A. / B.S. with previous pharmaceutical sales experience

  • Master's degree preferred
