Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational, data entry, and recordkeeping skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to follow established procedures and ensure accuracy of data.
Ability to provide customer service and respond to routine inquiries.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience supporting compensation, classification, or human resources functions is preferred.
Experience working with HRIS systems is preferred.
Experience in higher education or public-sector environment is preferred.
Job Description
Responsible for providing operational support for compensation and classification activities, including maintaining job descriptions, assisting with job evaluations, supporting salary survey processes, and responding to routine compensation-related inquiries.
Job Duties
• Review and update job descriptions to ensure duties and responsibilities are accurately documented.
• Assist with gathering and organizing information for job classification and compensation reviews.
• Collect, enter, and maintain data from compensation surveys and internal sources.
• Maintain records related to job classifications, salary data, and pay structures.
• Process routine personnel requests such as job postings, rec for hires, and changes in pay.
• Support job audits and classification reviews by compiling required documentation and information.
• Respond to routine questions from employees and supervisors regarding job descriptions, pay, and classification processes.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with compensation policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Help maintain and update pay structures.
• Provide customer service support for compensation-related processes and requests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
