Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

  • Ability to accurately manage and manipulate large amounts of data via Excel.

  • Ability to interact courteously and professionally with university faculty, staff, and all members of the community by telephone and in person.

  • Ability to maintain inventories, accounts, and department files.

  • General accounting and bookkeeping practices and procedures. Advanced proficiency in using Excel and MS Office.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

  • High School Diploma

  • Must be a current Texas State University employee

Preferred Qualifications

  • Competency in using web-site and other web-based technologies to support the Center for Teaching, Learning, & Scholarship website, Canvas, and ZOOM .

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Job Description

The Administrative Assistant III provides administrative and clerical support to program chairs, department chairs, deans, or directors.

Job Duties

  • Maintain Center for Teaching, Learning, & Scholarship ( CTLS ) accounts for purchases and reporting.

  • Maintain CTLS accounts for travel.

  • Prepare for and support CTLS online and face-to-face events and programs.

  • Maintain the CTLS email account and communicate with Faculty Development stakeholders.

  • Prepare, assemble, and proofread event-related materials.

  • Assist in maintaining the CTLS website, social media accounts, and Canvas sites.
