Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk performs manual and clerical tasks to support the movement of materials throughout the facility. This includes receiving, inspecting, picking, stocking, packing, and shipping materials for production, suppliers, and customers. Accuracy, organization, and safe material handling are central to this role.
Responsibilities
Count parts for cycle counts and incoming receipts.
Pick, issue, stock, and count materials to support production cycle time goals.
Package finished goods for customers and raw materials for suppliers.
Unpack and inspect incoming shipments; document shortages and reject damaged items.
Route requested items to internal departments.
Follow company health and safety procedures.
Uphold company values, including integrity and ethical conduct.
Maintain filing, distribute daily reports, and track shipping supplies inventory.
Maintain logbooks and support Inventory Control as needed.
Essential Skills
Shipping and receiving experience
Inventory management and cycle counting

Ability to process orders and shipments

Work Environment
The position is based in a small warehouse environment, primarily working independently. You will be performing laborious work and heavy lifting. The role is on the 1st shift from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
