Now Hiring: Production Technician II

Pay: $28 - $30

Job Description

The Production Technician II is responsible for performing testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and basic repair of electronic and electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished laser products. This role requires following established procedures and documentation while supporting engineering and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret circuit schematics, assembly instructions, and test procedures.

  • Perform product testing, collect data, verify performance, and accurately record results.

  • Understand product performance parameters and associated test methodologies.

  • Support the development of product specifications and contribute to improving test processes.

  • Troubleshoot unit failures using electronics knowledge; perform failure analysis and repairs.

  • Set up test stations and equipment; perform adjustments, alignment, and calibration.

  • Complete electro-mechanical disassembly and reassembly as required.

  • Maintain accurate timesheets and follow health, safety, and quality procedures.

  • Collaborate with Engineering to align and update test documentation.

  • Build moderately complex electro-mechanical assemblies as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read diagrams and schematics.

  • Proficiency in electronics testing and troubleshooting.

  • Experience in assembly and hand soldering.

  • Proficient in using testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with chemical handling is a significant advantage.

Work Environment

Work on the first shift from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. The role involves minor lifting and mostly sitting throughout the day. You will work with small parts using microscopes and magnifying glasses.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
