Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler

Job Description

The Production Operator assembles laser system components and subassemblies by following detailed work instructions. This role focuses on hands-on mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, basic inspection, and safe operation of production equipment in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components per written specifications and work instructions.

  • Inspect incoming parts and finished assemblies for quality and specification compliance.

  • Clean parts using approved solvents and procedures.

  • Operate and monitor production equipment; report issues or abnormalities to the supervisor.

  • Use hand tools and electronic tools such as soldering irons, spot welders, and multimeters.

  • Maintain simple production and yield records as required.

  • Follow all safety, health, and cleanroom procedures, including proper use of PPE.

  • Support company quality standards, ethics, and safety expectations.

  • Assist with cross-training and backup coverage as required for ISO compliance.

Essential Skills

  • Electromechanical assembly experience.

  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and blueprints.

  • Soldering experience using a soldering iron.

  • Basic inspection experience using micrometers and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with wiring, schematic, and microscope is advantageous.

Work Environment

The position is based in a cleanroom environment, working Monday to Friday on the first shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm. You will be part of a smaller team of about 12 to 15 people and will primarily be seated during your workday. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
