Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler
Job Description
The Production Operator assembles laser system components and subassemblies by following detailed work instructions. This role focuses on hands-on mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, basic inspection, and safe operation of production equipment in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components per written specifications and work instructions.
Inspect incoming parts and finished assemblies for quality and specification compliance.
Clean parts using approved solvents and procedures.
Operate and monitor production equipment; report issues or abnormalities to the supervisor.
Use hand tools and electronic tools such as soldering irons, spot welders, and multimeters.
Maintain simple production and yield records as required.
Follow all safety, health, and cleanroom procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Support company quality standards, ethics, and safety expectations.
Assist with cross-training and backup coverage as required for ISO compliance.
Essential Skills
Electromechanical assembly experience.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and blueprints.
Soldering experience using a soldering iron.
Basic inspection experience using micrometers and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with wiring, schematic, and microscope is advantageous.

Work Environment
The position is based in a cleanroom environment, working Monday to Friday on the first shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm. You will be part of a smaller team of about 12 to 15 people and will primarily be seated during your workday. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
