A Brief Overview :
The Data Analyst supports business decision-making by transforming raw data into accurate, reliable, and actionable insights. This role performs data preparation, exploratory and diagnostic analysis, and KPI support to enable leaders across the organization to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and take informed action. The role is designed to build strong technical and analytical foundations, with opportunities to grow into advanced analytics and data science responsibilities over time.
What You’ll Need to Succeed :
· Extract, clean, and prepare data using SQL and related tools to ensure accuracy, completeness, and usability.
· Perform descriptive and diagnostic analyses to answer business questions, validate assumptions, and identify drivers of performance.
· Support the definition, validation, and consistent application of KPIs and metric logic across reports and dashboards.
· Conduct exploratory analysis to identify trends, patterns, outliers, and anomalies; communicate findings with clear context.
· Translate business questions into analytical requirements, including data needs, logic, and success criteria.
· Develop clear documentation for queries, calculations, assumptions, and methods to support repeatability and auditability.
· Collaborate with business intelligence and analytics partners to deliver integrated insights and improve data products.
· Support ad hoc requests, special analyses, and periodic reporting as needed, ensuring quality and timeliness.
· Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing enhancements to data quality checks, metric definitions, and analysis approaches.
· Participate in knowledge sharing and skill development activities to strengthen team capabilities.
· Assist with user enablement by creating simple explanations, documentation, or training materials for recurring metrics and reports.

What You’ll Need:
· Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
· Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
· Hands-on experience with Python or R for data analysis (e.g., pandas/tidyverse, notebooks).
· Foundational knowledge of data analysis and basic statistical techniques.
· Experience using Excel and at least one reporting/visualization tool (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly).
· Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present findings clearly.
· Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency (preferred, depending on stakeholder needs).
Preferred Additional Requirements :
· Exposure to machine learning concepts such as regression, classification, clustering, and model evaluation metrics.
· Familiarity with feature engineering fundamentals and data modeling concepts.
· Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
· Experience working with large datasets and performance-optimized queries.
· Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and analytical notebooks (e.g., Azure, Databricks, or equivalent).
· Experience with Power BI (or comparable BI tools) including basic modeling concepts.
· Financial services experience and/or familiarity with regulated environments.
· Demonstrated interest in progressing toward advanced analytics or data science responsibilities.
