Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Technical Business Development Manager in San Jose, California

Partner with Finance teams to analyze business performance and provide data‑driven recommendations for pricing target
Translate technical engineering concepts into business implications that support decision‑making.
Build and enhance analytical models, forecast scenarios, and operational dashboards.
Support product, pricing, and deal analysis by combining engineering understanding with financial frameworks.
Identify system gaps and partner with IT to develop scalable process and tool improvements.
Automate data flows and reporting to increase operational efficiency.
Drive cross‑functional projects that require both technical depth and business acumen.
Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, structured manner.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
8–10 years of combined experience in technical analysis, business analysis, FP&A, product operations, or similar roles blending engineering and business.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and analytics tools.
Proven experience collaborating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to interpret complex data, build models, and communicate insights succinctly.
Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and business judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, ERP/CRM systems (SAP, SFDC), and reporting tools.
Familiarity with pricing models, deal analysis, or financial forecasting.
Exposure to product development lifecycle or engineering workflows.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau,? or similar).
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high‑growth environment with competing priorities.
The annual salary range for California is $136,500 to $253,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
