Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in San Jose, California. In this role, you will manage critical accounting processes and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Responsibilities:
• Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain and analyze the general ledger to verify financial data aligns with company standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries to document financial transactions effectively.
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and external statements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
• Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance accuracy. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Expertise in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures and tools.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
