Actalent Research Technician in San Jose, California
Our client is looking for a detail oriented research technician to join their team and assist with applications development.

Responsibilities
•Assist lead engineers in applications development: prepare samples, perform analytical tests, record data and observations, prepare summaries of experiments
•Perform die bonding application manually and automatedly.
•Troubleshoot basic process issues and escalate appropriately
•Perform parameter optimization and failure analysis
•Handling microscopic components; use of microscopes, tweezers, vacuum tools.
•Process documentation, basic troubleshooting, maintaining repeatability and yield
Qualifications and Experience
• B.S. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum Qualifications: 1+ years of industry experience in a related field.
• Technical certification or degree in electrical, chemical, or a related engineering field is preferred
• One or more of the following: Materials testing background, experience working with metals, QC background, lab experience
• Basic computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ability to log process data
• Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as Minitab is a plus
• Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, communicate effectively.
• Hands-on, good time management skills
• Strong attention to detail; focus on process control, documentation, maintaining quality.
• Able to stand, reach, use fine tools; occasionally lift small weights or handle assemblies.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
