Manufacturing Process Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes and instructions, to ensure that JAVAD EMS manufactures products the meet the customer specifications and their requirements for quality, reliability and on time delivery.

Candidate must have the capacity to comply with federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws. Pursuant to the EAR and the ITAR, a U.S. Person includes : any individual who is granted U.S. citizenship; or. any individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence ("Green Card" holder); or. any individual who is granted status as a "protected person" under 8 U.S.C.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and facilitate development of Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI).

  • Must have prior aerospace or defense industry experience

  • Establish/maintain processes that produce high quality product, in the most efficient manner.

  • Responsible for defining, designing and ordering assembly process tooling and fixturing as required.

  • Monitor and report on process yields and work with Quality department to implement continual improvement processes.

  • Interface with customers on a regular basis to discuss product quality yields, engineering action items and continual process improvement.

  • Interface with customers on new product introduction.

  • Process and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

  • Responsible for RMA analysis and corrective action implementation as required.

  • Work in conjunction with Quality Department to resolve customer Corrective Action Requests.

SKILLS :

  • Must be able to interpret quality control specifications, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and wiring diagrams, in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of SMT and soldering processes, including experience with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 certifications

  • Experience with SMT equipment and processes, including solder paste printing, component placement, reflow and AOI inspection.

  • Experience with Aegis, CircuitCam or technical software is a plus.

  • Solid understanding of DFM, DFT principles and applications.

  • Good communication skills

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred.

  • Minimum 3+ years of electronics manufacturing services work experience is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 compliant Quality Systems and AS9102 quality reporting requirement

Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
