Description
Mid‑size litigation team seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys across all phases of litigation. This Litigation Legal Assistant role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and comfortable managing multiple cases in a fast‑paced environment, offering close collaboration with attorneys and exposure to complex litigation matters.
Key responsibilities
Support litigation attorneys with pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
Draft, format, file, and serve legal documents in state and federal courts
Manage calendars, deadlines, and court rules compliance
Coordinate filings, e‑filings, and service of process
Organize and maintain case files (electronic and physical)
Communicate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
2+ years of litigation legal assistant experience
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court filings
Experience with state and/or federal courts preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and legal document formatting
