Actalent Electrical Test Engineer in San Jose, California
Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite)
Our client, a leading space‑hardware manufacturer, is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to support validation of mission‑critical, space‑grade hardware. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is motivated by the challenge of ensuring hardware performs flawlessly through launch and in the extreme conditions of space.
What You’ll Do
Develop test plans, test hardware, and automated scripts to validate deliverable space‑grade electronics.
Execute validation activities to ensure hardware reliability through launch and on‑orbit operation.
Troubleshoot issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
Conduct structured failure analysis using methods such as Ishikawa (fishbone) and 5‑Why.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong background in electronics, validation, and test plan development.
Hands‑on troubleshooting experience with complex electronic systems.
Experience working with spacecraft hardware or other high‑reliability systems.
Familiarity with AS9100 industry standards.
Failure analysis experience (Ishikawa, 5‑Why, etc.).
Automation experience is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
