ManpowerGroup Construction and Safety Manager in San Jose, California
Our client, a leading life sciences and biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Construction & Safety Manager to join their team. As a Construction & Safety Manager, you will be part of the Facilities/Engineering Department supporting Capital Projects and Site Construction Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Construction & Safety Manager (8-month contract)
Location: San Jose, CA (100% on-site)
Pay Range: $85–$95/hr
What’s the Job?
Oversee construction sites, general contractors, and crews to ensure safety, quality, and project compliance.
Partner with safety and quality managers to address incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate day-to-day construction activities and manage contractor schedules and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to project specifications and manage change orders in coordination with project management.
Conduct quality inspections and support contractor onboarding and permitting processes.
What’s Needed?
8–10 years of construction management experience, including commercial building and clean room construction (CA experience required).
OSHA 30 certification, First Aid & CPR certifications, and proficiency with MS Office.
Ability to manage safety programs, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
Strong leadership, multi-tasking, and conflict-resolution skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
