Aerotek Cnc Programmer And Operator in San Jacinto, California

Job Title: CNC Programmer and Operator Job Description

This position involves setting up a wide variety of 3–5 axis milling centers and manufacturing cells in a dynamic automotive aftermarket environment. The role requires reviewing manufacturing documentation, setting up and running First Article Inspection (FAI) parts, accurately measuring and installing tooling, ensuring part quality standards are met, and maintaining equipment to company-defined standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including 3-5 axis, horizontal, and vertical milling setups.

  • Review manufacturing documentation and set up FAI parts.

  • Ensure part quality standards are met and maintain equipment according to company standards.

  • Operate more than one machine depending on production volume.

  • Manufacture cylinder heads weighing up to 50-70 pounds.

  • Coordinate schedules and set up CNC machines and manufacturing cells to meet timelines.

  • Document setups and train personnel on proper setup and operation of jobs.

  • Maintain awareness of project schedules and ensure jobs are set up and run based on project deadlines and budget performance.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement cross-training accordingly.

  • Ensure processes and procedures are executed in accordance with company ISO Standards.

  • Work with Project Managers and Manufacturing Engineers to identify and mitigate risks in the production process.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work cell to 5S standards and ensure safety.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with Fanuc Controls, known for high reliability, precision, and performance.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and exert up to 25 pounds of force.

  • Full understanding of advanced CNC editing/programming, CAM programming (e.g., Surf Cam, UG/NX, Master Cam).

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints.

  • Understanding of ISO Quality Policies and ability to operate within its specifications.

  • Strong math skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Makino’s Modular Machining Complex (MMC2) technology is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Fanuc Macros and use of machine variables in NC Programs.

  • Knowledge of Renishaw probing routines is a plus.

  • Experience with automotive aftermarket products is beneficial.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
