Insight Global Test Engineer in San Francisco, California
Job Description
• Operate and run robotic systems through repeated test cycles
• Perform testing on wall materials (drywall and other interior surfaces)
• Observe robot behavior and identify what is going wrong during testing
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and communicate findings to engineering and process teams
• Document test results, failures, and observations clearly and consistently
• Assist with setup, teardown, and cleanup of test areas and materials
• Follow safety procedures while working around moving robotic equipment and construction materials

Skills and Requirements
• 1–2 years of experience in a hands-on testing, engineering, lab, manufacturing, or mechanical role
• Mechanically inclined — comfortable working with tools, equipment, and physical systems
• Ability to work in a messy, materials-heavy environment (construction materials, dust, compounds, etc.)
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate issues clearly and work closely with engineers and operators • Experience with robotics, automation, or mechanical systems
• Prior exposure to construction materials or jobsite-style testing environments
• Experience documenting test results or defects
• Background in engineering technology, mechanical engineering, or related technical fields
