Description
Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is partnering with a leading firm in the asset management industry to hire a Tax Director. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing tax operations and managing a small team, including one direct report (Tax Manager). The position offers strong visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity to work within a high-growth, specialized investment platform.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all partnership tax matters across complex investment structures
Oversee tax compliance, reporting, and planning for leasing, private credit, and fund investments
Review returns, K-1s, and related tax filings
Partner closely with internal leadership, finance, and external advisors
Mentor and develop the Tax Manager; contribute to team growth and best practices
Support international tax considerations, including cross-border structures
Requirements
10+ years of partnership tax experience
Background in leasing (ideally aviation), private credit, or investment funds
Open to candidates from public accounting or industry
Aviation or aviation leasing experience strongly preferred
CPA highly preferred
International tax exposure required (Asia experience is a plus)
Proven leadership and team management skills
