As a Senior NPI Operations Program Manager in the HQMS team, you will lead up to two complex hardware development programs through new product introduction (NPI) at our contract manufacturers. The core deliverable of this role is to provide units to supply/demand planning team that meets street date requirements by driving factory execution and managing yields effectively. This role drives execution from concept through PVT, managing programs through critical development phases (Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT) before transitioning to Sustaining Operations for MP. Partner with Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) to form two-headed program leadership models, collectively owning program success from schedule and requirements through launch and channel fill.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership:
Drive manufacturing readiness across all development phases while owning operations commitments and milestones
Drive factory execution and yield management to meet channel fill requirements and street dates
Lead manufacturing cost optimization initiatives and own risk assessment/mitigation strategies
Coordinate with Materials NPI Program Manager on material readiness, clear-to-build (CTB) status, and risk-buy decisions to support material readiness for PVT across device, accessories, and packaging
Drive BOM readiness and validation across all build phases, ensuring alignment with engineering changes and manufacturing requirements
Drive program budget ownership and cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing operations
Manage up to two concurrent programs through development phases and transition to Sustaining Operations
Manufacturing Operations Leadership:
Lead production line establishment and qualification through EVT, DVT, and PVT phases
Own and drive Build Readiness Reviews (BRR) and manufacturing readiness reviews at each phase gate
Partner with MTE team on factory test strategy implementation while owning risk and issue tracking
Coordinate with NPI Engineer and Factory to ensure optimal factory layout, process qualification, and equipment acceptance
Drive UPH targets and production line optimization across program budget and capabilities
Lead complex issue resolution across the NPI cycle
Cross-functional Management:
Partner with EPM to drive overall program success
Coordinate across Manufacturing engineering, Packaging, Accessories, Hardware R&D, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience
Lead factory engagement and maintain strong CM relationships
Drive resolution of technical and operational challenges
Lead operations core team meetings and factory NPI development meetings
Influence decisions across organizations up to Director+ leadership
Technical Operations:
Own manufacturing test strategy development and execution
Drive production yield improvements and cost reduction initiatives
Manage change control process for production line modifications
Lead CAPEX planning and implementation
Drive strategic decisions for factory selection and UPH targets
Reporting & Communication:
Deliver weekly executive program updates highlighting program status, manufacturing readiness, costs/risks, and dependencies
Drive proactive communication and status updates across US, Taiwan, and Vietnam stakeholders
Own cost opportunity identification and risk mitigation reporting
Present manufacturing readiness status at phase gate reviews
Track and report on yield, quality, and efficiency metrics
Lead operational core team meetings and document key decisions

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading new product introduction (NPI) teams
Experience in program or engagement management, leading other project managers to deliver a program with multiple and concurrent projects
Experience in procurement, budgeting, forecasting, or asset management
Experience delivering complex, data-driven recommendations to senior leaders
Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
