Acosta Group Sr Account Manager, Events in San Francisco, California
DESCRIPTION
As a Sr Account Manager (Events), you’ll work closely with the Events Lead, client’s Events and Experiences Team to manage and execute multi-day, large scale, marquee events throughout the year. You’ll also partner cross-functionally with teams within our client’s portfolio, including marketing, PR, product, UX teams as needed.
We're looking for an experienced and passionate event marketer who has extreme attention to detail, a knack for executional logistics, and is the ultimate cat herder. This self-starter is a great communicator and organizer who is comfortable jumping in to navigate complex issues, work through ambiguity, and design compelling event programs and solutions that showcase our client’s innovations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead operations for multiple multi-day, large scale in-person and digital branded events from concept phase through to production, post-event reporting and ROI analysis; ex. tradeshows with 1000s of attendees
Build attendee excitement and generate broader event awareness by leveraging existing channels for amplification, thinking creatively about new touch points
Orchestrate end-to-end creative pipelines by partnering with brand and design teams to deliver digital assets, motion graphics, and localized content packages, ensuring brand consistency across all virtual touchpoints
Architect integrated cross-functional channel strategies (ex. CRM, Social, PR, and Developer Marketing) to synchronize messaging across tease, launch, and recap campaign phases, maximizing audience retention and driving post-event conversion cycles
Interact with and manage multiple vendors, partners, company executives and a wide range of functional groups within Google
Develop and provide clear and proactive internal comms that ensure cross-functional and stakeholder buy-in every step of the way
Provide structure and organization by developing an efficient operational model, managing multiple workstreams, driving project timelines, and collaborating cross-functionally
Create and maintain project documentation such as project bill of materials, tracking, reporting, learnings, and recaps, and managing efficient meetings and capturing workstream next steps
Drive a through line between events to align strategies across multiple events, finding efficiency gains across events and identify time savings for the wider team
Manage and implement all attendee-facing proactive and reactive comms and set audience acquisition strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
You must meet these minimum qualifications to apply for this job:
7+ relevant years of event management; Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
Experience coordinating across large cross-functional organizations and navigating a multitude of stakeholders
Ability to work smart in a fast-paced, high-pressure, high-growth environment and must be willing to travel and work long, flexible hours
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt based on audience and/or communication channel(s)
Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail
Preferred qualifications
Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experiences may be equally valuable:
Experience planning, managing, and delivering global marketing programs and events
Self-starter who can drive multiple projects spontaneously, jump in with strategic recos, is a collaborative thought leader, and is willing to step in to help as needed
Team player who can work calmly and quickly in high-stress and can be adaptive in a fast paced environment
Project management experience working with stakeholders including: regional teams, cross-functional teams, internal leadership, and external agencies (managing expectations, updates, etc)
Proficiency and experience managing and drafting cross-functional team and stakeholder comms and updates (status notes, exec updates, newsletters, etc)
Exceptional budget management and negotiation skills
Experience presenting to and interacting with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders (across marketing, PR, product, engineering, UX, BD, Finance)
