Cognizant Senior Systems Administrator – Facets Applications in San Francisco, California
About the role
As a Senior Systems Administrator – Facets Applications, you will make an impact by leading the installation, upgrade, and operational stability of Facets platforms within the Payer domain. You will be a valued member of a highly collaborative technology team, working closely with application, infrastructure, and release management stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions using Facets, .NET, SQL, Azure, and related technologies.
In this role, you will:
Lead the installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing support of Facets applications across multiple environments
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, application, and performance issues to ensure platform stability and uptime
Support Facets components including Core Batch, Interactive (PZB), Broker, Data Publisher, NetworX, Workflow, and G6
Administer and maintain supporting tools such as CMU, Optum Rate Manager, and Optum Easy Grouper
Partner with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deploy enhancements and automation using CI/CD pipelines
Maintain certificates, service accounts, and related automations to ensure secure system access and compliance
Monitor system health and performance, leveraging tools such as Dynatrace to proactively identify and remediate issues

What you need to have to be considered
Hands-on experience installing, upgrading, and supporting Facets applications in enterprise environments
Strong expertise across Facets modules, including Core Batch, Interactive (PZB), Broker, Data Publisher, NetworX, Workflow, and G6
Experience administering Windows systems and servers, including website and web service environments
Working knowledge of CI/CD automation, including software deployment through tools such as uDeploy
Experience supporting certificate management, service accounts, and security-related automations
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve production issues in complex, integrated systems
These will help you stand out
Experience supporting Facets platforms within the healthcare payer domain
Familiarity with Azure-based environments and cloud-integrated system architectures
Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace
Exposure to .NET and SQL in support of integrated enterprise applications
Proven ability to work independently in remote environments while collaborating effectively across teams

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $132K - $150K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
