Senior Fund Accounting Manager| San Francisco| Hybrid; 1 day in office
Step into a high-impact leadership role with a top outsourced finance partner to hedge funds. You won’t just oversee engagements, you’ll be a trusted advisor to fund principals, helping drive strategy, strengthen infrastructure, and support growth.
You’ll lead a sharp internal team, own meaningful client relationships, and operate at the center of complex, fast-moving investment platforms. The firm offers a flexible hybrid model with just one in-office day per week, generous PTO, and a culture built on trust, autonomy, and performance.
Responsibilities
Lead hedge fund client engagements and mentor accounting staff
Own shadow books, NAV oversight, financials, valuations, audits, and tax coordination
Act as a primary contact for investor relations and operational due diligence
Review and elevate monthly closes, expense reporting, transparency reports, and investor statements
Oversee capital activity, distributions, budgeting, and management company finances
Supervise portfolio reconciliations and manage relationships with prime brokers and custodians
Play a hands-on role in fund launches, vendor decisions, and strategic initiatives
Collaborate across compliance, legal, tax, and operations to keep platforms running seamlessly
Tackle regulatory reporting and high-level special projects

Requirements
10–15+ years in financial services with deep hedge fund experience
Strong command of both fund accounting and operations
Proven leader who can manage multiple clients and deadlines with confidence
Bachelor’s degree required; accounting focus preferred
Advanced Excel skills; CPA and systems experience a plus
Polished communicator who thrives in an entrepreneurial, team-driven environment
