Skanska Integrated Solutions (SIS)
Skanska provides construction project management consulting services through our in-house group known as Skanska Integrated Solutions (SIS). The Program Director will manage a capital construction program(s) to lead project and construction management teams in the development and delivery of multiple projects concurrently. The Program Director reports to Skanska’s Regional Director on public and/or private assignments to manage a portfolio of projects. Acting in the role of Owner’s Agent, the Program Director is responsible for project management and construction management teams in all project phases, including studies, programming and planning, preconstruction services, design, procurements, construction, and closeout. The Program Director is the team leader, responsible for project initiation and operations through the completion of construction. The Program Director is responsible for staff mentoring, project management processes and methods, stakeholder communications, coordination, and conflict resolution, to ensure project goals are met. The position requires business management acumen, strong leadership skills, presentation skills, organizational and team building skills, as well as a working knowledge of project controls, quality assurance, risk management, budget management, time management, and client servicing skills. The Program Director must be a strategic communicator, adaptable, a collaborative team player, with problem-solving and risk management skills, plus a solid understanding of the tasks and skills provided by the team members whom they supervise.

Program Director Required Qualifications:
10+ years experience as a Senior Project Manager, Program Manager or Director role leading commercial and/or public sector building construction projects in California.
10+ years experience collaborating with owners, architects, engineers and contractors, and engendering a partnership culture to maintain positive stakeholder working relationships.
10+ years experience managing and enforcing the terms and conditions of project contracts.
10+ years experience working with the authorities having jurisdiction and utility providers.
10+ years experience embedded on jobsites providing in construction quality assurance.
10+ years experience in managing the schedule review and commenting process.
10+ years experience identifying, mitigating, and managing project risks.
10+ years working with a preconstruction team to manage costs (e.g., project logistics, planning, scope review, budgeting, estimating, value engineering and cost benefit analysis).
10+ years experience managing the design process and relationships between design and construction to ensure the designer delivers quality, budget conscious, and complete documents on schedule.
10+ years experience reviewing design drawings, technical specifications, requests for information, construction submittals, product cut sheets, and providing comments.
10+ years experience drafting a Project Work Plan and implementating delivery strategies.
10+ years experience in strategically planning, tailoring and implementing various project delivery methods (e.g. CM at Risk with GMP, Design Bid Build Lump Sum Hard Bid, Design Build, Progressive Design Build, Integrated Project Delivery, etc.).
10+ years experience targeting and pursuing additional business opportunities with existing clients, and develop new business opportunities.
Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering, and 10+ years of full-time industry experience.
