About the Role:
Turner & Townsend is seeking an exceptional AssociateDirector, Program Manager, to lead our critical Technology Laboratory(typically found in data center environments) projects for a leading globaltechnology client in Mountain View, CA. This job is part of the Program Management function. Theyare responsible for the creation and delivery of strategic programs or projectsrepresenting our client’s major initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
Serveas the Mechanical/Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the design andconstruction of Technical Laboratories.
Providesupport for the design and construction of Substations that supply power to theLaboratories.
Demonstratein-depth knowledge and expertise in your job discipline, specifically regardingthe design and execution of Technical Laboratories, including effective riskidentification, management, and mitigation.
Maintainproject and program schedules and budgets, ensuring timely escalation andresolution of issues to meet client, program, and project objectives. Thisapplies to delivery teams, whether they are T&T or third-party vendors.
Manageend-to-end, cross-functional projects and programs by utilizing both client andT&T tools, guides, and playbooks. A key expectation is to leverage yourindustry and market expertise to suggest updates and improvements for theseexisting tools, processes, guides, and playbooks.
Create& distribute routine Project and Program reports.
Influenceand advise stakeholders by clearly communicating complex and challengingconcepts.
Developand maintain strong relationships with clients, both internal and externalstakeholders, and vendors. Collaborate with key stakeholders to guide projectteams through the entire project or program lifecycle and develop effectivesolutions.
Supportand strengthen client relationships with utility providers.
Effectivelynavigate and achieve successful results when collaborating with utilityproviders that have constraints.
Asneeded, formally supervise employees, which includes staff development monitoring,performance evaluations, and mentoring.
Assistwith the recruitment and hiring of new staff members.
Modelbehaviors consistent with company values and lead by example.
Supportfunctional goals by contributing to new products, processes,
standards,and operational plans. Manage and coordinate team activities, includingestablishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
What You'll Bring:
10+years of progressive project and program management experience, with asignificant concentration in MEP disciplines.
A minimum of 5+ years of dedicated projectmanagement experience within data center environments, coupled with a deepunderstanding of Data Center MEP infrastructure, including substations.
Bachelor's Degree preferred (ideally in Engineering, Construction Management,or a related field). A combination of relevant experience and education will beconsidered.
PgMPor PMP certifications are highly preferred.
Proven track record in project staffing, teamleadership, strong communication skills, coaching, mentoring, performancemanagement, and talent retention.
A demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovativemethods that transcend existing solutions, solving unique problems with broadbusiness impact.
Strong organizational skills and an advancedinquisitive mindset. Proficiency with Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets,Slides, etc.) is essential, Scheduling tools MS Project, Smart Sheets (CriticalPath Analysis).
Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including theability to perform complex financial calculations (percentages, fractions,forecasting) critical for project cost control and reporting.
A natural inclination towards a \"client-first\"philosophy, consistently delivering exceptional solutions seeking service andfostering strong partnerships.
keen interest in AI technology and itsapplications, with an enthusiasm for leveraging tools like Gemini to streamlinebusiness processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $185,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $190,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program.
