Description
Patient Billing Specialist (20 hours per week)
Mission‑driven nonprofit seeks a detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to support patient billing and core accounting operations.
Responsibilities include patient invoicing and billing (private pay, Medicare, insurance), managing an EHR system, A/P and A/R, and accurate entry into QuickBooks.
Collaborate with internal teams on reporting and audits.
Ideal for someone highly organized, detail‑driven, and comfortable learning new systems.
Must have QuickBooks experience!
Flexibility in schedule and days worked!
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing or bookkeeping roles.
• Must have QuickBooks experience!
• Proficiency in computerized billing systems and electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong knowledge of Medicare billing processes and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to communicate billing information clearly and professionally to patients.
• Experience reconciling accounts and generating financial reports.
• Familiarity with nonprofit financial operations is a plus.
