CBRE Facilities Supervisor, on-site in San Francisco, California
About the Role:
Join CBRE as a Facilities Supervisor supporting one of ourtechnology clients at their corporate headquarters in San Francisco, withoccasional travel to nearby sites in San Francisco and Sunnyvale. In this role,you will play a key part in supporting the effective operation of a mixed‑useportfolio, including a campus environment, warehouse space, and officefacilities.
You will assist with overseeing day‑to‑day facilityoperations, coordinating on‑site activities, supporting events, and helpingensure smooth, reliable building functionality. Collaboration is critical tosuccess. You’ll work closely withclients, vendors, and contractors to support work orders, maintenanceactivities, and service requests, ensuring tasks are completed accurately,safely, and on time.
As part of the Facilities Management team, you willcontribute to maintaining and enhancing the performance, reliability, andoverall condition of the facilities by supporting maintenance operations,repair activities, and operational workflows.

What You’ll Do:
Provide day‑to‑day supervision and developmentsupport to one direct report, while coordinating activities across vendors andcross‑functional partners to ensurecoverage, efficiency, and service continuity.
Serve as the primary point of contact for escalatedcommunications with landlords, tenants, and service providers, ensuringpolicies, procedures, and reporting standards are clearly understood andconsistently applied.
Oversee and coordinate routine maintenance of buildingsystems and equipment to maintain safety, reliability, and operationalperformance.
Partner with the Facilities Manager to plan,coordinate, and execute short‑ and long‑term projects, ensuring alignment with site objectives, timelines, andoperational priorities.
Support financial management activities, includingoperating budgets, reforecasting, expense tracking, accruals, and varianceanalysis, providing clear and accurate commentary to leadership.
Process purchase orders and support invoice review toensure proper cost allocation, budget adherence, and compliance with financialcontrols.
Analyze work order data and operational metrics toproduce performance reporting, identify trends, and recommend improvements toefficiency, cost management, and service delivery.
Conduct vendor evaluations using market research andcost‑benefit analysis to support sourcing,contracting, and renewal decisions.
Develop, document, and maintain processes and playbooksto improve consistency, scalability, and operational clarity across facilitiesactivities.
Identify and implement process improvement initiativesand new techniques that enhance team effectiveness, operational performance,and customer experience.
Resolve complex operational issues throughcollaboration, sound judgment, and proactive problem solving.
Influence cross‑functional objectives through effective communication, partnership, andinformal leadership.
Ensure all activities align with service standards andpositively impact client satisfaction.
Lead by example by modeling behaviors consistent withCBRE RISE values, providing guidance and mentorship as needed to supportindividual and team success.
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or GED required, with 5+ years ofrelevant facilities experience.
Prior supervisory or shift management experience required;additional managerial experience is a plus.
Ability to travel to other local sites as needed; reliablepersonal transportation is required.
Familiarity with budgeting principles and financialprocesses, including expense tracking and cost awareness.
Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customerservice in a fast‑paced,client‑facing environment.
Proficiency in using a Computerized Maintenance ManagementSystem (CMMS) to track, manage, and report on work orders.
Strong understanding of facilities processes, procedures,systems, and operational concepts, with working knowledge of related functions.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearlyconvey complex concepts and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, includingWord, Excel, Outlook, and related tools.
Strong organizational skills with a highly inquisitive andanalytical mindset.
EHS and workplace safety experience is a plus, includingfamiliarity with safe work practices and compliance expectations.
Facilities-related certifications (e.g., FMP, CFM, CPM,trade certifications) are a plus.

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Supervisor position is $42.00 hourly and the maximum salary for the Facilities Supervisor is $45.67 hourly. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
