Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic/Building Engineer
Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of airport building facilities. This includes work on elevators, conveyor systems, mechanical systems, lighting systems, communications/radio systems, air handling/HVAC units, fire systems, plumbing systems, and more. The role may involve working with PLC electronic systems, computer controls, and steel frame structures.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repair on building facilities including elevators, mechanical systems, and HVAC units.
Work on lighting, communications/radio systems, and fire systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
Make low and high voltage repairs to electrical equipment, including 110/220/480 volt single and multiphase circuitry.
Read and follow wiring schematics independently.
Work with related building equipment and trades such as air handling units, plumbing, steam fitting, and conveyors.
Essential Skills
Thorough knowledge of general building maintenance with an emphasis on electrical troubleshooting.
Experience in industrial wiring and the ability to read wiring schematics.
Ability to make high and low voltage electrical repairs.
Need to have a good background around 480V.
Need to have a good background in mechanical maintenance and repair around conveyer systems and other mechanical systems.
Need to have done work with Building Maintenance Systems (BMS).
Experience in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Possess a valid, clean state driver's license.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Journeyman electrical license is a plus.
Experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, and structural steel frame construction.
Ability to climb and work from ladders and walk for extended periods.
Moderate lifting capability.
Candidates must have their own tools.
Twenty-four months of experience required in at least three of the following areas: Electrical, Structural, HVAC, Mechanical.

Work Environment
The role involves working both inside and outside airport terminals, requiring flexibility for all shifts, including weekends and holidays. The position requires working in all weather conditions, and candidates will be represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT). New employees must join the union within ninety days of employment, with an initiation fee and monthly dues.

This is a Permanent position based out of San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $84198.00 - $84198.00/yr.
